He was awarded the ‘Willis Award of the *ASA in 1990, and was its President in 2004. He was the 'IMS *Rietz Lecturer in 1977 and the 'Wald Lecturer in 1981. In 1996 he was *COPSS *Fisher Lecturer. He was awarded the *Parzen Prize in 1998 and the *Rao Prize in 2003. He was awarded the National Medal of Science in 2007. | ||
