A Configured Conversational AI Agent is a Conversational AI Agent whose behavior is set by a saved configuration of instructions and reference knowledge that a user or builder creates and that persists across conversations.
- Context:
- It can (typically) carry custom instructions that apply to every conversation held under its configuration.
- It can (typically) carry reference files or documents that ground its answers in the user's own material.
- It can be saved and selected again, so that new conversations start from the same configuration.
- It can keep its configuration in a vendor's workspace or in a repository that its user holds.
- It can be shared by its builder with other users, or be premade by its vendor.
- ...
- Example(s):
- Vendor-hosted configured assistants, such as:
- Aget Agents, which keep their configuration in a repository that their principal holds.
- ...
- Counter-Example(s):
- A Domain-Specific Conversational AI Agent whose configuration only its vendor can set, such as a bank's customer-service chatbot; domain scope alone does not make an agent configured.
- A chatbot session that starts from the same default settings every time, with no saved configuration.
- A configured agent that does not converse, such as a continuous-integration bot driven by a configuration file.
- ...
