A Domain Expert is an Agent who is an Expert in some Expertise Domain.
- AKA: Subject Matter Expert, SME.
- Context:
- They can be a Human SME (such as a Skilled Professional), or an Expert System.
- They can provide Background Knowledge relevant to a Task.
- Example(s):
- A Curator
- A Biomedical Research Expert is able to understand the content of a Biomedical Research document.
- A Topographer.
- A Toponymist.
- An Ontologist.
