A Life-Defining Project is a personal project that a conscious agent has chosen to commit to.

- It can (typically) require a Delayed Gratification Skill.
- It can (typically) be an Intentional Chioce.
- It can (typically) affect a Life Story.
- It can be supported by a Moral Argument (within some moral philosophy).
- Example(s):
- A Beauty-Directed Life Project, such as:
- To save as many children from malnourishment as possible by making and donating as much money as possible (not made in a blatantly deleterious way).
- To create an artificial intelligence that will be granted tenure at a top university (and that will hopefully one day prove the meaning of life).

- To Start-Up a Company.

- climb the tallest mountain in every continent.
- To be the first walk on Mars.
