An AI Agent is a software system that pursues goals over time with some autonomy, typically deciding its own next action rather than executing a fixed script.
Member Kinds
Membership is broad, and the members fall into several kinds.
- Agents by application domain: AI Conversational Banking Agent, Supplier Onboarding AI Agent, Employee Support AI Agent, Content Recommendation AI Agent.
- Agents by architecture or behaviour: LLM-Based Agent, Task Agent, AI Sub-Agent, Proactive AI Agent, Asynchronous AI Agent, Ambient AI Agent, Turing-Complete AI Agent.
- Named products and platforms: Manus AI Agent, Tongyi DeepResearch Agent, AWS Bedrock Agent Service, Claude Code SRE Agent.
- Agent frameworks and their parts: AGET Framework, and the tracing objects of the OpenAI Agents SDK such as OpenAI Agents Trace.
- Collectives of agents: Agent Fleet, Fleet (AGET) and GM-RKB Fleet, which are groups of agents rather than agents themselves.
The last two kinds are worth noting for anyone browsing: this category admits the frameworks that build agents and the collections that contain them, not only individual agents.
